Our Story
Zege Safaris Limited is a local Tanzania tour operator based in Arusha, specializing in tailor-made safaris, Kilimanjaro trekking and Zanzibar holidays. We are small on purpose: every guest is met, planned for and guided by our team, not a call centre.
Zege Safaris was built around a simple idea: a safari is only as good as the people running it. Based in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, we focus on a handful of destinations we know intimately, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, rather than spreading thin across the whole continent.
We’d rather run fewer trips well than many trips at a distance. That is the whole philosophy behind how Zege Safaris works.
Meet the Team
Our guides are professional safari guides with more than ten years of experience, who also personally handle every booking, itinerary and logistics question that comes up before a trip. Our team meets guests personally at Kilimanjaro International Airport on day one and, in most cases, guides the entire trip, northern circuit and Zanzibar included.
Because the same team plans your trip and guides it, nothing gets lost between booking and arrival.
